CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 4/21/08 <br />Agenda Item # G-a. <br />SUBJECT: <br />Recognition of Epworth United Methodist Church Women's Group -Children's Sabbath <br />Teddy Bear Collection Drive <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Every child transported by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) receives a teddy bear to <br />comfort them on the way to the hospital. The Women's group at Epworth United Methodist <br />Church (EUMC) sponsored a teddy bear collection drive and approximately 87 teddy bears <br />were collected. Carolyn Shores with EUMC will present David Hampton, EMS Director, <br />with a teddy bear.
