CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 4/21/08 Agenda Item # ~- ~ <br />SUBJECT: <br />Proclamation Declaring April 20-26, 2008 as Administrative Professionals Week <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Administrative Professionals Week originated with two objectives 1) to recognize 'the <br />secretary, upon whose skills, loyalty, and efficiency the functions of business and <br />government offices depend,' and 2) to call attention 'through favorable publicity to the <br />tremendous potential of the secretarial career'. Administrative Professionals Week has <br />been expanded to encompass responsibilities and wide-ranging job titles of administrative <br />support staff.
