CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 5/19/08 <br />Agenda Item # <br />~}-I <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appointment -Centralina Workforce Development Board <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Centralina Workforce Development Board (CWDB) requests the reappointment of Bob <br />VanGorden to the CWDB (Private Sector) for atwo-year term ending June 30, 2010. In <br />addition, the CWDB requests the appointment of Phil Geissinger to atwo-year term ending <br />June 30, 2010, effective July 1, 2008, to replace Beth Wanke as a Private Sector <br />representative. In January 2008, Lisa Conger was erronously appointed to the CWDB to <br />fill the Education position held by Pat Woods. The Clerk requests the removal of Ms. <br />Conger from the CWDB roster. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda Item as presented) <br />1. Motion to reappoint Mr. Bob VanGorden to the Centralina Workforce Development <br />Board for atwo-year term ending June 30, 2010. <br />2. Motion to appoint Phil Geissinger to atwo-year term ending June 30, 2010 (effective <br />7-1-08). <br />3.
