CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 5/19/08 <br />Agenda Item # ~ - I-~- <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appointment -Water & Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The term of appointment for Michael M. Quickel ends June 30, 2008. Mr. Quickel has <br />served six consecutive years as the at-large representative and is willing to serve another <br />term on the Water and Sewer Authority. However, pursuant to the Board's Appointment <br />Policy, "an individual may not serve more than six consecutive years" and completing an <br />unexpired term does not count towards years of service. As required, advice will be sought <br />from the organizing political subdivisions on the appointment of Robert Ritchie (the only <br />applicant on file).
