CABARRUS COUNTY ~'' "~? <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 6/16/08 Agenda Item # CT_ I <br />SUBJECT: <br />Fiscal Year 2008-09 Budget -Public Hearing - 6:30 p.m. and Adoption of Budget <br />Ordinances <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Manager's Preliminary Budget for Fiscal Year 2008-09 has been presented to the <br />Board of Commissioners and has been reviewed and discussed at three budget work <br />sessions held May 22, May 27, and June 4. The budget has been available on the <br />County's web site and available for inspection at the County's libraries as well as in the <br />office of the Clerk to the Board. The budget has been updated with changes discussed <br />and presented. As required by G. S. 159-12, a hearing for public comment is in order. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br />1) Hold public hearing. (2) Motion to adopt the Cabarrus County Budget Ordinance for <br />FY 2008-09 for the General Fund, Cabarrus Arena and Events Center Fund, Landfill Fund <br />and Emergency Telephone Fund.
