CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 7/21/08 Agenda Item # F- I <br />SUBJECT: <br />Department of Aging - LunchPlus Club Nutrition Program, Award of Bid and Contract <br />Approval for Catering Services <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Sealed bids were received until 2:00 pm on May 29, 2008 for catering services. Two bids <br />were received: Varsity BBQ ($3.90 per meal, No bid "alternate") & Bateman Senior Meals <br />($3.90/meal; $4.00 per meal "alternate"). Specifications were clarified; and, package was <br />distributed for re-bid. Sealed bids were again received until 2:00 pm on June 24, 2008. <br />One (1) bid was received: Varsity BBQ ($3.90/meal; $3.90 per meal "alternate"). <br />"Alternate" includes environmentally-friendly serving disposables.
