CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 8/18/08 Agenda Item #~-~ a <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appointments -Library Board of Trustees <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The terms of appointments for the following Trustees ended July 31, 2008: Joseph W. St. <br />John (Concord), William Charles McKinley, Jr. (Kannapolis) and Alice Marie Morrison <br />(Harrisburg). Mr. St. John is not interested in being considered for reappointment. The <br />Library Director recommends the appointment of Anita Talbott of Concord to fill this seat, <br />subject to concurrence by Concord. Mr. McKinley has served one term and would like to <br />be reappointed. The Harrisburg seat is appointed by Harrisburg in accordance with the <br />Library Agreement. The Town plans to make an appointment at its next meeting. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br />1. Motion to appoint Anita Talbott to the Library Board of Trustees to fill the Concord seat <br />for the following term: July 31, 2008 -June 30, 2011, subject to concurrence by the City <br />of Concord. <br />2.
