CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 22, 2008 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Finance -Budget Amendment (MRN Radio Incentive Grant Payment $9,639) <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />On April 16, 2007, the County approved the Industrial Development Incentive <br />Grant for MRN Radio. The grant was proposed to begin in FY 2010, however, <br />after negotiation of the contract, MRN elected the initial year of the grant to <br />commence on January 1, 2008. This will cause the first incentive payment to <br />be paid during FY 2009. A budget amendment for approval is attached <br />appropriating $9,639 from contingency for this payment. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to adopt budget amendment. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Pamela S.
