CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 22, 2008 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Finance -Criminal Justice Partnership Program (CJPP) Grant -Approval of <br />Standard Grant Award Contract and Conditions -$129,171 and Budget <br />Amendment - $3,538 <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The grant application submitted to the NC Department of Correction for <br />continued CJPP funding was approved in the original budget for <br />$125,633. However, the legislature authorized additional funding in the <br />amount of $3,538. Therefore, the total grant award is $129,171. The Grant <br />Award Contract must be signed prior to the County receiving any funds. <br />Carolina Addiction and Recovery Environment (CARE) is contracted to <br />provide the treatment services for FY 2008-FY 2009. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />1) Motion to approve the standard grant award contract and conditions <br />between the NC Department of Correction and Cabarrus County; <br />2) Authorize the County Manager to execute the contract on behalf of <br />Cabarrus County; <br />3) Adopt budget amendment. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Pamela S.
