M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Finance -Financial Plan for the Self-Insured Health Insurance Fund for <br />FY 2009 <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />On February 16, 2004, the Board of County Commissioners established a <br />self-funded health insurance plan. Accounting for this action, an Internal <br />Service Fund was established (the Self-Insured Health Insurance Fund). <br />This fund is not required to have an approved budget, but is required to <br />have a Financial Plan pursuant to G.S. 159-13.1. A Financial Plan will be <br />incorporated into the annual budget process in future years. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to adopt Financial Plan for the Self-insured Health Insurance Fund <br />for FY 2009 as presented. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Pamela S.
