CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 22, 2008 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />General Services -Approval of Proposal/Contract for Maintenance & <br />Custodial Services for the Law Enforcement Center <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />RFQ Submission deadline for maintenance and custodial service <br />providers at new Law Enforcement Center has passed and only one (1) <br />submission was received. After review of the RFQ package, General <br />Services requests that a contract with Keith & Keith Corrections be <br />pursued by the County Manager. Keith & Keith Corrections currently <br />provide services for Mecklenburg County Jail Central and Jail North as <br />well as several other county law enforcement locations in North and South <br />Carolina. The RFQ submission met all required criteria and the General <br />Services Director has visited two (2) of the locations where the company <br />is currently providing service. Keith & Keith Corrections are forecasting <br />an operating budget of $330,000 for services provided for the existing <br />buildings at the Law Enforcement Center.
