AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CABARRUS COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE C2008-04-ZT BE IT ORDAINED that the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended as follows: Amend Chapter Two, Rules of Construction and Definitions, Section 2-2, Basic terms and definitions, as follows: • ADD the following definition: Recreational Therapy Facility A facility that provides recreational therapy to individuals with a wide range of cognitive, physical and emotional disabilities. Recreational therapy is the provision of services to an individual to restore and rehabilitate using recreational techniques, in order to improve functioning and independence, as well as reduce or eliminate the effects of illness or disability and promote well-being. Amend Chapter Three, Establishment of Zoning Districts, Section 3-7, Statements regarding the purpose of zoning districts, Uses in the Agricultural/Open Space Zone, Conditional Uses as follows: • ADD the following language to the list of Conditional Uses: Recreational Therapy Facility (Rural Setting) Amend Chapter Three, Establishment of Zoning Districts, Section 3-7, Statements regarding the purpose of zoning districts, Uses in the Countryside Residential Zone, Conditional Uses as follows: • ADD the following language to the list of Conditional Uses: Recreational Therapy Facility (Rural Setting) Amend Chapter Three, Establishment of Zoning Districts, Section 3-8, Table of permitted uses: Table of Permitted Uses -Commercial Uses as follows: • ADD the following language to the Table of Commercial Uses: 44) Recreational Therapy Facility (Rural Setting) [will be permitted in Ag/Op and CR zones, and will be designated with an "C" in the corresponding zoning column.] • RENUMBER the following uses: 45) Recyclable materials drop off (from #44) 46) Repair garage/automobile (from #45) Page 1 of 5 G-1 i~ LI 1 i] L 'J N iJ r' Item# 26 , Attachment number 2 Page 356 of 468 '
