We certainly understand the complexity of your mission and the nature of mobilizing a large
staff of sworn officers, civilians, and specialized personnel to meet the varied needs of the community, 24 hours
per day, seven days a week.
A third-party analysis of the demands placed on officers and staff in each division, their actual workload, and how
that workload fluctuates from day to day, provides the Sheriff's Office, county government, and the community
with valuable information about the real obligations of the professionals in your charge. While adding staff may
be appropriate and necessary in certain instances, our studies often reveal opportunities to assign existing staff and
resources in ways that more closely meet the community's needs. These changes in workload and scheduling
quite often lead to real savings in public dollars, as well as real improvements in working conditions, staff morale,
and employee retention.
We are prepared to begin work immediately and will complete our study within 150 days of Notice to Proceed.
We appreciate the opportunity to present this proposal and look forward to working with you on this Staffing
Analysis.
Sincerely,
~~ ~
Todd B.
