C <br />FIREFIGHTING SERVICES AGREEMENT <br />THIS FIREFIGHTING SERVICES AGREEMENT ("Agreement") is entered into as of the <br />day of by and between (INSERT NAME OF COUNTYI, a political subdivision of the State of <br />(the "County") and (NAME OF VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT], (" "), tax-exempt volunteer <br />fire department under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the "Code"). <br />WHEREAS, the County has long relied on volunteer fire companies to assist the County in the provision of firefighting <br />services in County, ;and <br />WHEREAS, was organized and is operated to provide firefighting services in the area <br />of County, an area which is not provided with other firefighting services; and <br />WHEREAS, is desirous of financing the cost of construction of a fire truck on atax-exempt basis; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 150(e) of the Code sets forth certain prerequisites to being eligible for tax-exempt <br />financing; and <br />WHEREAS, among the requirements set forth in Section 150(e) of the Code is the requirement that be <br />required by written agreement with the County to furnish firefighting services in the area. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency <br />of which are hereby acknowledged, the County and do hereby agree as follows: <br />1. County agrees to continue to support and its provision of firefighting services in the area <br />of County and to otherwise be of assistance to in a manner similar to the manner in which it supports <br />other volunteer fire departments operating in County, <br />2. agrees to continue to furnish firefighting services in the area of <br />County and otherwise to be a part of the County's coordinated firefighting system. <br />3.
