CABARRUS COUNTY , <br />'~ BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING t <br />NOVEMBER 17, 2008 , <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />EM -Revision of the Cabarrus County Emergency Operations Plan <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Emergency Management Department has revised and amended the <br />existing Emergency Operations Plan (EOP). The EOP establishes a <br />framework of policy and guidance for county disaster preparedness, <br />response, recovery and mitigation operations. The EOP consists of the <br />basic plan and seventeen (17) functional annexes. These annexes define <br />responsibilities and actions of county government personnel during <br />emergency situations. The plan incorporates the National Incident <br />Management System (NIMS) at all levels. This revision reflects the <br />changes in county government organization and operations currently in <br />effect. The draft plan was made available for review and comment by the <br />county government departments and those non-government agencies that <br />support the plan.
