CABARRUS COUNTY ' <br />`F~, BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ' <br />REGULAR MEETING ' <br />NOVEMBER 17, 2008 <br />6:30 P.M. , <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />SUBJECT: <br />Finance -Presentation on JCPC Teen Court Program and Adoption of <br />Related Budget Amendment (JCPC Grant Funds - $13,614) <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention has <br />approved an increase in state allocation for JCPC programs across the state. <br />Cabarrus County is eligible to receive an additional $13,614 above the <br />$313,345 originally budgeted. The local JCPC Board has reviewed requests <br />for this additional funding and recommends the entire $13,614 be granted to <br />the Teen Court program for expanded service capacity. Ms. Cynthia <br />Seaforth, Program Manager for Teen Court, will be present at the November <br />17 meeting to make a presentation on the Teen Court program. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />1. Receive presentation. <br />2.
