Gladwin/Planner <br />Subject: Consent Agreement and School CapacityInfomiationfnr The Grand Apartments <br />Date: 11/12/2008 <br />The Grand Aparhrents received rewning and site plan approval by the Kannapolis Planning and <br />Zoning Board on Febnaary 7, 2007. This project is approved for 240 multi family apartment units on <br />+ /-18.37 acres and is located on Trinity Church Road The specifics of the agreeiirent are as follows: <br />^ Developer -McClain Barr & Associates, 6353 Poplar Forest Drive, Stururerfield, NC 27358. <br />^ Payment of $1,331.00 per unit will be due at building permittin& <br />^ Proposed build out schedule is no more than 240 building permits issued in 2008. <br />The revised APFO ~wrksheet filled out by Mr. Robert Kluttz with Cabams County Schools <br />indicates that schools impacted by The Grand Apartments are ctarrerttly functioning at the following <br />capacities: <br />Charles E. Boger Elementary School- 81.86% <br />Northwest Cabarrus Nfiddle School -105.65% <br />Northwest Cabarru5 High School -129.52% <br />Including previously approved subdivisions, these schools will be functioning at the following <br />capacity upon completion of The Grand Apartments project: <br />Charles E. Boger ElementarySchool -180.62% <br />Northwest Cabam.~s Nfiddle School -155.18% <br />Northwest Cabarrus High School -197.89% <br />The Capital Improvement Plan revised in July 2008 includes Cox Nfill F Tigh School is projected to <br />open in 2009 in the western part of the county, a new middle school is proposed in 2010 in the south <br />central part of the county, and a 200 seat addition is planned for Charles E. Boger Elementary <br />School These schools will relieve Northwest Cabarrus High School, Harris and Northwest Cabarns <br />middle schools, and Charles E.
