CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 15, 2008 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Recognitions and Presentations <br />SUBJECT: <br />Finance -Distinguished Budget Presentation Award <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Finance Department has received the Distinguished Budget <br />Presentation Award granted by the Government Finance Officers <br />Association of the US and Canada (GFOA) for its Fiscal Year 2008-09 <br />annual budget. In order to receive this award, the document must meet <br />the program criteria to serve as a policy document, a financial plan, an <br />operations guide and a communications device. The County received an <br />outstanding rating from reviewers this year in all of these categories.
