MEMORANDUM <br />To: Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />Ftom: ICassie Goodson Watts/Planner <br />Subject: Consent Agreements and School Capacity Information for Beckenham Subdivision <br />Date: 3/13/2007 <br />The Beckenham subdivision was approved by the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning Board on <br />February 15°h, 2007. This subdivision is approved for 20 single-family lots on +/-11.84 acres located <br />on Cold Springs Road. The specifics of the agreement are as follows: <br />Developer -McDonald Homes, Inc., 4575 Hwy 49 South, Concord, NC 28025 <br />Payment of $4034 per lot will be due at Final Platting <br />Build out schedule would be no more than 6 lots platted in 2007, no more than 81ots platted <br />in 2008, and no more than 61ots platted in 2009 <br />The APFO worksheet filled out by Mr. Robert Kluttz with Cabaxms County Schools indicates that <br />schools impacted by the Beckenham subdivision are currently functioning at the following capacities: <br />W.M. Irvin Elementary School - 94.25% <br />Mt. Pleasant Middle School - 98.86% <br />Mt. Pleasant High School - 94.48% <br />Including previously approved subdivisions, these schools will be functioning at the following <br />capacity upon completion of the Beckenham subdivision project: <br />W.M. Irvin Elementary School -116.50% <br />Mt. Pleasant Middle School -119.86% <br />Mt. Pleasant High School -109.62% <br />Additional capital funding is needed for renovations at the Mt. Pleasant Middle School. Funding is <br />also needed for an addition to the Mt. Pleasant High School. These projects will be included in the <br />Revised 15 Yeax Facility Plan. At present, funding for these projects has not been identified. <br />Cabarrus County Schools operating at 110% capacity axe considered to be opexadng at the maximum <br />capacity. _ <br />The Subdivision Lot Inventory spreadsheet has been updated through March of 2007. <br />F~a~ <br />
