CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 3/26/07 Agenda Item # (3 - S <br />SUBJECT: <br />Request for Architectural Funds to Fast Track AL Brown High School Wing Addition and <br />Renovation of Vocational Building <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The County has plans to issue COPS for the fast tracking of a new high school in the <br />Northeast portion of the County in the winter of 2007. Kannapolis City Schools is <br />requesting to be included on this COPS issue in order to fast track two projects at AL <br />Brown High School and for funding to finalize the purchase of land that is currently under <br />option for a new school. They are currently requesting $675,000 for architectural fees to <br />begin planning and have contracts ready in time for the COPS issue.
