CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 3/26/07 <br />SUBJECT: <br />Agenda Item # F - <br />Department of Aging Budget Amendment - (Senior Center General Purpose Grant Funding <br />for Mt. Pleasant Community Enrichment Center - $6,831.00) <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Cabarrus County Department of Aging (CCDOA) has received a grant from the NC <br />Division of Aging and Adult Services (through the Centralina Area Agency on Aging) to <br />support staff at the Mt. Pleasant Community Enrichment Center (MPCEC). We will use <br />these funds to increase hours of a current part time position from 20 hours per week to 30 <br />hours per week. These funds are part of the CCDOA application to certify the MPCEC as <br />a Senior Center, are included in the NC State Budget, and will be included in the CCDOA <br />recurring annual State funding allocation. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda Item as presented) <br />Adopt budget amendment. <br />Attachments ^X Yes ^ No Expected Length of Presentation <br />Submitted By: Michael L.
