RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING <br />THE COUNTY MANAGER <br />TO SIGN <br />MEMORANDUMS OF AGREEMENT <br />AND <br />GRANT APPLICATIONS <br />Whereas, Cabarrus County applies for grants to be received from various State <br />and Federal sources; and, <br />Whereas, these grants must meet strict Federal and State guidelines for use in <br />accordance with Federal, State and local strategies; and, <br />Whereas, these grants are funded at 100 percent, with no county funds being <br />used; and, <br />Whereas, Memorandums of Agreement and Grant Applications between <br />Cabarrus County and the Grantor must be signed for acceptance of these grants; and, <br />Whereas, these agreements must be executed within 30 days of receipt on <br />some grants; and, <br />Whereas, no expenditures can be made until a budget amendment is approved <br />by the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners; <br />Now, therefore, be it reso/ved by the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners that the County Manager is authorized to sign Memorandums of <br />Agreement and Grant Applications between Cabarrus County and various State and <br />Federal sources for the receipt of grant funds. <br />Signed this the 26th day of March, 2007. <br />Robert W.
