CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 4/16/07 Agenda Item # <br />SUBJECT: <br />Industrial Development Incentive Grant -MRN (Motor Racing Network) Radio -Request for <br />Public Hearing - 6:30 p.m. <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />MRN Radio is considering a relocation of its operations to Cabarrus County. The company <br />would invest $1.8 million and locate in an existing building on Akins Drive. MRN broadcast <br />mosts NASCAR races over the radio, produces racing-related talk shows, news shows and <br />other programming. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br />Conduct public hearing to consider the incentive grant.
