CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 4/16/07 Agenda Item # _ <br />SUBJECT: <br />Request by Cabarrus County Schools for Additional Land for School Bus Garage <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Cabarrus County school system is planning a new bus garage at the site of the current <br />facility off Union Cemetery Road. Morris Berg Architects has created a schematic design. <br />The design coupled with parking needs and unusable land have led to a request for <br />additional property. The request would extend the bus garage area to the back of the <br />smaller buildings on the former fairground site and would reduce the area that the County <br />is currently marketing.
