CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 4/16/07 Agenda Item # G - 3 <br />SUBJECT: <br />Request from Cabarrus County Schools for Funding for Engineering Design Services for <br />New High School <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Cabarrus County Schools requests $125,000 in funding for engineering fees to continue <br />the fast track of the new high school in the northwest area of the County. This is the <br />balance of the funding needed for this project through June 30, 2007. Additional costs will <br />be incurred prior to the issuance of COPS, but the County will be reimbursed for those <br />costs when the debt is issued. This item was tabled from the March meeting to allow for <br />presentation by the Schools. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br />Approve the request for $125,000 for engineering fees and adopt the budget amendment. <br />Attachments ^X Yes ^ No Expected Length of Presentation <br />Submitted By: Pamela S.
