A motion was made by Terry Crawford with a second by Garrett Jenio to accept the financials as submitted. Motion carried. The following motions were made to adjust budget line items: A motion was made by Frank Lapsley with a second by John Cox to transfer $10,000 from the "Other Operating CosY' S3193110-9355 line item to the "Equipment and Furniture" 53193110- 9860 line item to upgrade the phone system to accommodate the increase in staff. Motion Carried. A motion was made by Frank Lapsley with a second by Joni Juba to transfer $37,600 from the "Convention Center Marketing" 53193110-9695CONV line item to the "Advertising" 53193110- 9601 line item. Motion carried. A motion was made by Joni Juba with a second by John Cox to transfer $24,000 from the "Convention Center Marketing" 53193110-9695CONV line item to the "Collateral Production"53193110-9320 line item. Motion carried. A motion was made by John Cox with a second by Terry Crawford to increase "Contracted Personnel Services" 53193110-9110 to $16,700 and to reduce "Transportation Expense" to $0. ( I don't have a number for this one - we never used it) A motion was made by Frank Lapsley with a second by Terry Crawford to increase the "Great Race Revenue" 53163110-6803GARS line item to $52,200 and to increase the "Great Race Marketing" 53193110-9695GARS line item to $50,000. Mana~gmen.t_Re.port DeSales Wagster presented the management report with the following highlights: Occupancy tax revenue continues to increase over last year figures. Desales Wagster, Erin Ploplis and Kate Parker represented the CVB at Tourism Day in Raleigh on May 15. ' The board was given copies of Travel Host magazine featuring articles and advertising on Cabarrus County. The CVB has joined the North Carolina Coalition. Great Race Update Cordelia Anderson updated the board on the progress with planning the Great American Race to begin in Concord on June 30. She stated she has secured over $50,000 in sponsorships to date and the event plans are being completed.
