CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 7/23/07 Agenda Item # (` - 3 <br />SUBJECT: <br />Resolution to Advance Cabarrus County's Revaluation Schedule from January 1, 2012 to <br />January 1, 2008 and to Implement aFour-Year Revaluation Cycle <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Cabarrus County desires to conduct a reappraisal of real property earlier than required by <br />G.S. §105-286, effective January 1, 2008, and to implement subsequent reappraisals <br />every four years. Funds for the reappraisal work were appropriated in the FY 07-08 budget <br />and shall be reappropriated each succeeding fiscal year to assure the timely completion of <br />the reappraisal work on a quadrennial revaluation cycle as required by GS §103-A-150. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion If the Board approves the agenda ttem as presented) <br />Adopt resolution. <br />Attachments ^X Yes ^ No Expected Length of Presentation <br />Submitted By: J.
