CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 7/23/07 Agenda Item # F .5 <br />SUBJECT: <br />Sheriffs Department -Budget Amendment (Additional Sheriffs Deputy to work in the Town <br />of Harrisburg - $56,044) <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Town of Harrisburg is currently reimbursing the Sheriff's Office for salary and benefits <br />for seven officers that are assigned to work in the Town of Harrisburg. Harrisburg has <br />requested that the Sheriff add one deputy with the rank of sergeant, and as with past <br />agreements, Harrisburg will reimburse the Sheriffs Office for salary and benefits related to <br />the new sergeant. Any additional equipment needed by the deputy, including patrol <br />vehicle, will be provided by the Town of Harrisburg.
