CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 7/23/07 Agenda Item # G - ,Z <br />SUBJECT: <br />Rural Operating Assistance Program (ROAP) FY 07-08 -Public Hearing <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />A public hearing is required on the proposed Rural Operating Assistance Program (ROAP) <br />application that will be submitted to the NC Department of Transportation. The programs <br />included in the ROAP application are: Elderly & Disabled Transportation Assistance <br />Program (EDTAP); Work First/Employment Program; and Rural General Public (RGP) <br />funds. Each program is designed to offer assistance in meeting the transportation needs <br />of the community. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br />1. Hold a public hearing. <br />2.
