CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 7/23/07 Agenda Item # G - 3 <br />SUBJECT: <br />Installment Financing Contracts (G.S.160A-20) for Public School Facilities -Public Hearing <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Cabarrus County plans to enter into one or more short-term installment financing <br />contract(s) with one or more third parties not exceeding $t3.5 million in the aggregate <br />(collectively, the "Contracts") to finance all or a portion of the costs of acquiring real <br />property, constructing, renovating and equipping new public school facilities, various real <br />and personal property improvements related to the foregoing and a portion of the interest <br />to accrue under the Contracts during the construction period (collectively the "Project"). <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion !f the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br />Conduct a public hearing required by G.S. 160A-20 on installment financing contracts for <br />the project described above. <br />Attachments ^X Yes ^ No Expected Length of Presentation 5 Minutes <br />Submitted By: Pamela S.
