MEMORANDUM <br />To: Cabartvs CounryBoazd of Commissioners <br />From: Kassie Goodson Watts/Planner <br />Subject: Consent Agreement and School Capacity Information for Pazkside at Skybrook Village <br />Phase 3 Subdivision <br />Date: 8/20/2007 <br />The Parkside at Skybrook Village Phase 3 was approved bythe Ciry of Concord Plannhtg and <br />Zoning Boazd on January 16, 2007. This subdivision is approved for 50 single family homes on +/- <br />20.36 acres and is located on Poplar Tent Road. The specifics of the agreement are as follows: <br />Developer - Skybrook, LLG, 6719-C Fairview Road, Clrazlotte, NC 28210. <br />^ Payment of $4034 per lot will be due at Final Platting. <br />Proposed build out schedule is no more than 351ots to be platted in 2008 and no more than <br />151ots to be platted in 2009. <br />The APFO worksheet filled out by Mr. Robert Kluttz with Cabarnu County Schools indicates that <br />schools impacted bythe Pazkside at Skybrook Village Phase 3 subdivision aze currentlyfunctioning <br />at the following capacities: <br />W.R. Odell Elementary School - 147.70% <br />Note: The percentage of the W.R Odell Elementary School will drop to 88.90% with the <br />opening of the new replacement school, Boger & Furr. <br />Harris Road Middle School - 104.48% <br />Northwest Cabaznrs High School - 108.16% <br />Including previously approved subdivisions, these schools will be functioning at the following <br />capaciryupon completion of the Pazkside at Skybrook Village Phase 3 subdivision project: <br />W.R. Odell Elementary School - 203.20% <br />Harris Road Middle School - 169.43% <br />Northwest Cabarnu High School - 180.05% <br />The 15-Year Facility Plan indicates a new high school is proposed in 2009 in the western part of the <br />county to relieve Northwest Cabarn~s and Jay M. Robinson. A new middle school is proposed in <br />2009 in the south central part of the county to relieve Harris Road. A new elementary school is <br />proposed is in 2009 in the northwestern part of the county to relieve W.R Odell. Funding has not <br />been identified nor land secured for these projects with the exception of the high school, which the <br />County is cturentlysecuringthe land for. <br />Cabarnu County Schools operating at 110% capacity are considered to be operating at maximum <br />capacity. <br />The Subdivision Lot Inventory Spreadsheet has been updated through August of 2007. <br />G- 5 <br />
