CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 8/20/07 <br />Agenda Item # F_ g <br />SUBJECT: <br />Kannapolis Library -Budget Amendment (Appropriation of $5,850 in Grant Funds from the <br />Foy and Gertrude Hinson Charitable Trust) <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />In July, 2007, the Foy and Gertrude Hinson Charitable Trust granted funds to the <br />Kannapolis Library for the specific purpose of purchasing two computer-based Early <br />Literacy Stations to be used by children at the Kannapolis Library. These stations are <br />free-standing, non-Internet units that provide dedicated access to age appropriate <br />educational programs.
