Murphy, CIRS-A
Date: July 20, 2007
Subject: Title-V Funding Plan -Fiscal Year 2008
Enclosed please find the proposed Funding Plan and appropriate Budget Amendment Request for
the Cabarrus County Department of Aging Title-V program for FY'08. This Funding Plan
represents a 115% increase in funding from FY'07. The Cabarrus County Department of Aging
assumed the responsibility of the local Title-V program on July 1, 2006 at the request of the
Centralina Area Agency on Aging because the Cabarrus County program was not being
administered successfully by another local agency, and the resources were not being utilized to
best serve eligible residents.
