CONTRACT FOR SERVICES PROVIDED FOR UNbER TITLE V , <br />OF THE OLDER AMERICANS ACT iti <br />THIS AGREEMENT, entered into as of this 1st day of July, 2007 , by and between <br />Cabarrus~Department of Aging(hereinafter referred to as the "Agency") and the Centralina Council of <br />Governments (the Area Agency on Aging), (hereinafter referred to as the "Council"); <br />WITNESSETH THAT: <br />WHEREAS, the Council wishes to have performed and the Agency wishes to provide certain aging <br />services in connection with activities financed in part by Title V Older Americans Act grant funds <br />provided to the Council from the United States Department of Labor through the North Carolina Division <br />of Aging and Adult Services; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, and mutual covenants ahd agreements <br />hereinafter contained, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br />1. Employment of the Agency. The Council hereby agrees to engage the Agency and the Agency <br />hereby agrees to pertorm the services hereinafter set forth in accordance with the terms and <br />conditions contained herein. <br />2. Scope of Services. The Agency shall provide subsidized training opportunities and authorized <br />support services for low-income individuals who are 55 years of age or older. All services are <br />to be performed in full compliance with the Title V regulations as established by the Department <br />of Labor for the Senior Community Service Employment Program and the rides and regulations <br />set forth in the Division of Aging and Adult Services Title V. Senior Community Service <br />Employment Progrem Procedures Manual, the terms of which are incorporated herein by <br />reference and copies of which have been furnished to The Agency. <br />3. Time of Performance. The services of the Agency are to commence no later than July 1, <br />2007 and shall be undertaken and pursued in such sequence as to assure their expeditious <br />completion on or before the end of the contract period, June 30, 2008. <br />4. Grant Administration. The grant administrator for the Council shall be Gayla S. Woody. The <br />grant administrator for the Agency shall be Mike Murphy. It is understood and agreed that the <br />administrator for the Council and the Agency shall represent their respective employers in the <br />performance of this contract. Each shall notify the other if the administrator changes during the <br />contract period. <br />~- <br />
