Cabarrus County Tourism Authority <br />Board of Directors Meeting <br />August 22, 2007 Minutes <br />LOCATION: Cabarrus County CVB, Kannapolis, NC <br />The August, 2007 Board of Directors meeting was called to order at 8:04am by <br />Vice-Chairperson Frank Lapsley. <br />IN ATTENDANCE WERE: <br />Board Members: Diane Honeycutt John Mills Staff: DeSales <br />Wagster <br />Garrett Jenio Frank Lapsley Linda <br />Collins <br />John Cox Terry Crawford <br />Sharon Campbell <br />Guests: Mike Downs, Cabarrus County Deputy Manager <br />Adam Bell, Charlotte Observer <br />Josh McCann, Independent Tribune <br />Welcome of Guests: <br />Frank Lapsley welcomed the guests to the meeting. <br />Motions: <br />A motion was made by John Cox with a second by Terry Crawford to elect Frank <br />Lapsley as board chairperson to fill the seat vacated by Sharon Campbell. <br />Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by Diane Honeycutt with a second by Garret Jenio to elect <br />John Cox as board vice chairperson to fill the seat formerly occupied by Frank <br />Lapsley. Motion carried. <br />Minutes <br />A motion was made by Garrett Jenio with a second by John Mills to approve the <br />minutes from the June 20 regular board meeting as submitted. Motion carried. <br />Financials <br />Frank Lapsley presented the financials for June 30, 2007 and July 31 2007. A <br />motion was made by Garrett Jenio with a second by Terry Crawford to accept the <br />financials as submitted. Motion carried. <br /> <br />
