The revised APFO worksheet filled out by Mr. Robert Kluttz with Cabarrus County Schools <br />indicates that schools impacted by the Rustic Canyon (Phase 2) subdivision are currently functioning <br />at the following capacities: <br />Rocky River Elementary School - 109.16% <br />GC. Griffin Middle School - 123.43% <br />Central Cabarrus High School - 94.74% <br />Including previously approved subdivisions, these schools will be functioning at the following <br />capacity upon completion of the Rustic Canyon (Phase 2) subdivision project: <br />Rocky River Elementary School - 209.38% <br />C.C. Griffin Middle School - 200.95% <br />Central Cabarrus High School - 128.56% <br />The Hickory Ridge High School opened August 27, 2007, providing relief at Central Cabarrus High <br />School. <br />The 15 yeas plan identifies a new elementary school in 2008, southeast of Rocky River Elementary, <br />and another elementary school in 2009, south of Harrisburg. Both of these schools would relieve <br />A.T. Allen, Harrisburg, and Rocky River elementary schools. Land, architectural and engineering <br />work is to be funded in February 2008 fox the A.T. Allen replacement. Funding, nor land has been <br />secured fox the other elementary school. A new middle school is included in the plan fox 2008, south <br />of NC Hwy 49 that would relieve C. C. Griffin. Land has been purchased fox the new middle school. <br />Architectural and engineering work is to be funded in February 2008. These three schools have been <br />included in the Revised 15 Yeax Facility Plan presented to the BOC on February 22, 2007. <br />Cabarrus County Schools operating at 110% capacity are considered to be operating at maximum <br />capacity. <br />The Subdivision Lot Inventory spreadsheet has been updated through October of 2007. <br />2 <br />G- la. <br />
