CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 10/15/07 <br />Agenda Item # <br />SUBJECT: <br />Proclamation Declaring October 30th as Weatherization Day in Cabarrus County <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Weatherization program which is funded through the NC Office of Economic <br />Opportunity, provides Cabarrus County with the resources to increase energy efficiency in <br />the homes of low-income persons and families as well as improve health and safety. <br />Cabarrus County weatherizes approximately 40 homes each year.
