EXISTING TEXT <br />E. Special standards for amenity subdivisions. <br />1. Subdivision design. <br />a. Block elements. <br />No block shall be longer than 600 feet in length unless amid-block <br />pedestrian and bicycle connection is provided, in which case the block <br />may extend up to 1,000 feet. Asingle-loaded street (houses on only <br />one side) shall not be restricted in length, provided that mid-block <br />pedestrian and bicycle connections are made at the rate of one for <br />every 600 feet in length. <br />b. Residential collector streets. <br />All residential collector streets shall be designed as parkways. <br />2. Site and building elements. <br />All housing types shall comply with the following standards. <br />a. Roof overhang. <br />Eaves shall extend no less than 12 inches beyond <br />the supporting walls. <br />~;. Gable end rakes shall overhang at least eight <br />inches. <br />iri. Eaves and rakes on smaller accessory buildings <br />and dormers shall overhang at least eight inches. <br />tom. Soffits shall be placed perpendicular to the <br />building wall, not sloping in plane with the <br />roof (except for gable end rakes). <br />~. Applied mansard roofs shall not be <br />permitted. <br />b. Additional standards for corner lots. <br />;. Side wall articulation. <br />The street facing side wall <br />of the home shall not run <br />unbroken (unarticulated) <br />for a distance greater than <br />24 linear feet. All wall <br />offsets shall be a minimum <br />of two feet in depth and <br />three feet in width. <br />;~. Blank wall area. <br />Blank wall areas shall not <br />exceed 15 feet in vertical <br />direction and 15 feet in the <br />unacceptable acceptable <br />~~~ <br />
