CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 11/19/07 <br />Agenda Item # <br />N-~ <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appointment of Cabarrus County Representatives to NC 3 Advisory Committee <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Cabarrus County, Iredell County, Kannapolis and Mooresville are participating in a study of <br />the NC 3 corridor (similar to the NC 73 study conducted last year). Each jurisdiction has <br />been asked to appoint one elected official and two citizen representatives to the <br />committee. A brief summary of the study and the project scope is attached for your <br />reference. Centralina Council of Governments is serving as the consultant for this project. <br />Cabarrus County's financial contribution to the project was included in the Planning <br />Services budget for 2007-2008. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br />Appoint one Cabarrus County Commissioner and two citizens to the NC 3 Advisory <br />Committee. The Commerce Department recommends the appointment of Fred Wally and <br />F. A.
