I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I PROCLAMATION ~ ~~~rrY~~M9M!ttY NORTH CAROLINA CABARRUSCOUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS WHEREAS, Snyder Packa~ing, a successful family-owned company III Cabarrus County, is celebrating its 80t year in business during 2006; and WHEREAS, the company was started in 1925 by Raymond Snyder as a printing operation that made stationery, catalogs and other business forms; and WHEREAS, the business grew and prospered throughout the years and in the 1960's specialized equipment was installed to produce paperboard inserts, containers and other types of packaging needed by other manufacturing companies; and WHEREAS, Snyder Packaging today produces a wide range of paperboard products used daily by persons throughout the United States, including containers and packaging for such items as cosmetics, cigars, medical supplies and many more; and WHEREAS, Raymond Snyder's son, David, now serves as President of Snyder Packaging, and with the support and assistance of his family and loyal employees, continues the tradition of a strong and productive family business; and WHEREAS, Snyder Packaging is a vital part of this community and has made a significant contribution to the quality of life and economic well-being of Cabarrus County and its citizens during its many years of operation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners hereby congratulates Snyder Packaging Company on the celebration of its 80th year in business, recognizes and honors David Snyder for his many accomplishments and extends best wishes for the continued success of Snyder Packaging in the future.
