SECURING DOCUMENTS - General Contractors will receive three sets of Construction Documents and one Project Manual to be returned not more than ten days after award of the contract. Additional drawings are available for non- refundable purchase after November 28, 2005 at Duncan-Parnell of Concord, 651 Church Street North, Concord, NC. Phone 704-782-2625. 2. BID FORM - In order to receive consideration, make all bids in accordance with the following: a) Bids shall be made upon the forms provided herein, properly executed and with all items filled out. Unauthorized conditions, limitations or provisions attached to the proposal may be cause for rejection of the proposal. Alterations by erasure or interlineations must be explained or noted in the bid over the signature of the' Bidder. b) Each sealed bid shall be addressed to Cabarrus County and shall be delivered to the location indicated in the "Invitation to Bid" on the day and hour set for opening of bids in an envelope bearing the title of the work, the name of the bidder, license number, address and telephone number and the date and hour of the opening. It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to see that his bid is received in proper time. Bidders are welcome to attend the bid opening. c) No BID BOND is required of the General Contractors. 3. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS - Any Bidder may withdraw his bid, either personally or by written request at any time prior to the scheduled time for opening of bids. No Bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty days after the date set for the opening thereof and all bids shall be subject to acceptance by the Owner during this period. 4. AWARD OR REJECTION OF BIDS - The Contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest responsible Bidder, subject to the Owner's right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bids or in the bidding. Alternates may be considered in determination oflowest Bidder. Failure to complete all information required on the bid form such as alternates, may result in rejection of a bid. 5 .
