<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Agenda Item # J - 5 <br /> <br />Meeting Date 2120106 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Amendment of Library Department Budget (revenue & expenditure) <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />The NC State Legislature approved a permanent increase in the amount of State Aid to <br />Public Libraries Grant funds to be awarded to public libraries in the fiscal years 2005-06 <br />and 2006-07. The purpose of this request is to amend the revenue line items to include <br />these funds, $17,012.00, and to appropriate these funds into the Harrisburg Library <br />expenditures budget for the specific purpose of purchasing a library materials security <br />system and computer equipment for the Harrisburg Library during the current fiscal year. <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br />Move to amend Library Department budgets to appropriate additional State Aid funds for <br />the purchase of equipment. <br /> <br />Attachments 1&1 Yes D No Expected Length of Presentation Consent <br />Submitted By: Thomas W.
