<br />Cabarrus County Mass CPR Training for County Employees <br />Cabarrus EMS/Cabarrus County Safety <br /> <br />Date: February 15,2006 <br />February 22, 2006 <br /> <br />0800-1300 <br />0800-1300 <br /> <br />Location: Cabarrus Arena & Events Center <br /> <br />Target Audience: All County employees who do not currently maintain CPR for <br />employment <br /> <br />Participants: Approximately 700 <br /> <br />Program: Heartsaver AED (new guidelines will be distributed later after initial <br />completion) <br /> <br />Cost: $3/card Billed to Cabarrus County <br />$200 4 videos @ $50/each purchased by EMS <br />5 manlhours each instructor per class <br />5 man/hours each employee for attendance <br /> <br />Teaching Mechanism: Watch then Practice. Four video stations will be set up to view <br />the video and then practice the procedures. Current AHA CPR instructors will supervise <br />each group during the video and performance of skills. Additional EMS, County, and <br />Public Health will be utilized to provider further 1-1 assistance, <br /> <br />Equipment Needed: 20 ACTAR CPR Mannequins, 5 Annie CPR Mannequins, Face <br />shields, disinfectant, 4 videos, 4 TVNCR, course paperwork, 4 AED trainers <br /> <br />Registration: Course is conducted as Non-pay contract sponsored by Rowan Cabarrus <br />Community College. Students will be required to complete RCCC registration and AHA <br />course attendance. <br /> <br />AED Placement: 18 AEDs will be placed to cover all major County facilities (one <br />currently owned will be repositioned and 2 will be obtained through the HDSP <br />coordinator project. Cabarrus County will purchase 15 at price of $17,457.75 (Phillips <br />through Southeastern Emergency Equipment). <br /> <br />AEDs will be placed atfollowing locations: CSD/jail-1, Courthouse-l, DSS-1, <br />Government Center-I, Aging-I, Expo-2, Concord Library-I, Harrisburg Library-I, Mt. <br />Pleasant Library-I, Kannapolis Library-I, Lamijill-1, Cooperative Extension-I, <br />Transportation-I, Elections-I, Frank Liske Park-I, Camp Spencer-I, General Services-1 <br /> <br />r-9 <br />
