<br />-- <br /> <br />RETIREMENT OF <br /> <br />Sergeant Roger D. Horton <br /> <br />Sgt. Roger Horton began his career with the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office on <br />April 11th, 1985. <br /> <br />Roger is married to Linda Horton and they have four daughters; <br />Anita Rilling (deceased), Susan AUman and son-in-law Ronnie, Candice Horton,. <br />and Cynthia Davis and son-in-law Brian. They also have three grandchildren, <br />Courtney and Jarod Allman, and Peyton Davis. <br /> <br />During his career with the Sheriff's OlTIce, Roger has been assigned to the jail, <br />patrol and the civil divisions. He is currently the Sergeant of the civil division. <br /> <br />Roger has completed numerous classes in relation to criminal, civil, and domestic <br />violence at Rowan Cabarrus and Davidson Community Colleges. <br /> <br />Roger is a life long resident of Cabarrus County. He attended OdeD Elementary <br />School, graduated from Mt Pleasant High School in 1969 and attended Rowan <br />Cabarrus Community College. He is a Vietnam veteran and a retired member of <br />the Mt. Pleasant Fire Dept. with 24 years of service. He is an active member of <br />Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Rimertown. <br /> <br />Roger is looking forward to spending more time with his family, working on the <br />farm, hunting and fishing, and volunteering at church. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />C-3 <br />
