Kindsvatter, Acting Director <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />February 17,2006 <br /> <br />REF: <br /> <br />Child Care Subsidy Funding Authorization for Services Provided to <br />Katrina Families in State Fiscal Year 2005-2006 <br /> <br />Enclosed are the Fund Source 85 funding authorizations for counties who have been <br />serving children of Hurricane Katrina evacuee families. Only expenditures for these <br />families should be coded to Fund Source 85. These funds and expenditures are being <br />tracked separately from your current Non-Smart Start and Smart Start allocations and <br />expenditures since we will be seeking reimbursement from FEMA at the state level. <br /> <br />Each month we will prepare Fund Source 85 funding authorizations that equal your <br />Katrina expenditures for the previous month. We will continue to issue the funding <br />authorizations after we receive the monthly expenditure amounts. <br /> <br />Thank you for providing services to these families.
