EXHIBIT "A" LEGAL DESCRIPTION Lying in the northeastern comer of the intersection of Cannon Boulevard (U.S. Highways #29 and #601) and Centergrove Road (N.C. Highway #136), and being between Barnett Street and Sharon Street, and more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the right-of-way monument in the northeastern corner of the intersection of Cannon Boulevard (U.S. Highways #29 and #601) and Centergrove Road (N.C. Highway #136) and runs thence N. 06-03-56 W. 667.35 ft., passing a right-of-way monument at 652.32 ft., to a PK nail at the southeastern corner of the intersection of Cannon Boulevard and Barnett Street, and runs thence three courses and distances with Barnett Street as follows: (1) N. 82-47-04 E. 325 ft.; (2) N. 80-39-00 E. 341.36 ft.; and (3) N. 82-05-19 E. 194.77 ft. to a nail in the southern edge of the pavement; thence S. 60-39-36 E. 182.68 ft. to an existing iron pipe in the western edge of Aggie Avenue, a dirt road extending southward from Barnett St.; thence S. 2-13-53 E. 286.99 ft. to an existing iron pipe by a cedar, a corner with Daniel Phifer; thence S. 10-16-54 W. 221.93 ft. to an existing iron pipe; thence N. 46-10-00 W. 27.27 ft. to a new iron pipe at or near the northwestern end of Sharon Street; thence S. 43-58-20 W. 749.14 ft. with the western edge of Sharon Street to a right-of-way monument at the intersection of Sharon Street and Centergrove Road; thence N. 87-10-30 W. 30.60 ft. with the intersection of Sharon Street and Centergrove to a right-of-way monument in the northern edge of Centergrove Road; thence N. 46-19-08 W. 473.02 ft. with the northern edge of Center grove Road to the point of BEGINNING.
