<br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />~ <br />~~!rM~~MgM~!Y <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />CABARRUSCOUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Cabarrus County Transportation Services is the county's <br />provider of transportation for the purposes of travel to and from human services, <br />medical needs, Lunch Plus Clubs, community resources and other necessary <br />general locations for the purpose of activities necessary for daily living. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, CCTS provided over 116,000 trips and traveled over one <br />million miles within Cabarrus County enabling all eligible citizens to improve and <br />enhance their quality of life and promote a independent lifestyle that allows <br />individuals to remain in their homes. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, CCTS has placed a strong emphasis on training in the areas of <br />Defensive Driving, First Aid, Pathogens and CPR which provides well trained <br />county employees. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, CCTS has always focused on safety as their number one goal, <br />with this past year efforts, were rewarded with a cost savings to the citizens of <br />Cabarrus County in a reduction in the cost of insurance for their fleet of vehicles. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, CCTS promotes a sprit of teamwork, communication and <br />accountability among its staff and has as their core principles; Integrity, Honesty <br />and Respect which are meaningful to all members of the department as they <br />perform their daily duties. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />herby congratulates CCTS for their efforts in meeting the transportation needs of <br />the community, encourages them in their continuing efforts to provide quality <br />service and applauds their dedication to safety as their number one goal. <br /> <br />This the 17th day of April 2006. <br /> <br />Robert W.
