<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Agenda Item # G - 2. <br /> <br />Meeting Date 5/15/06 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Resolution Supporting State Assumption of County Share of Medicaid <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />North Carolina is the only state in the nation that requires counties to pay a share of all <br />Medicaid services costs. Cabarrus County's share of Medicaid reimbursements has <br />increased more than 66 percent in the last 6 years and exceeds $5.9 million. <br /> <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners urges the N. C.
