Smith / <br />Emergency Management Director <br /> <br />To: <br /> <br />Subj: <br /> <br />Transfer of Surplus Vehicle <br /> <br />On February I, 2006 we received a letter from Harvey Morris, Fire Chief of the Odell <br />Fire Department requesting consideration from the county in transferring ownership of a <br />surplus Crown Victoria to the Odell Volunteer Fire Department. <br /> <br />The Emergency Management Department has a 2001 Crown Victoria (VIN# <br />2FAFP71 W61X128916) that we are no longer using. This vehicle was obtained as <br />surplus from the Sheriffs Department approximately 2 years ago and has 137,000 miles. <br /> <br />Chief Morris has indicated that the vehicle will be used for official department business <br />including responding to emergency medical assistance calls, as well as providing <br />personnel transportation to and from training classes and events. <br /> <br />Your consideration to Chief Morris' request is appreciated. <br /> <br />F-3 <br />
