ALTERNATIVE SOURCES OF REVENUE <br /> <br />A. Grants <br /> <br />I. Any employee of the Department, Commissioner, or interested citizen is <br />encouraged to investigate the possibilities of securing a grant or sources of <br />outside funding for department facilities and programs. <br /> <br />2. All grant applications, donations, or funding sources must be approved by <br />the Director of Parks and Recreation, the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission, County Manager, and Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners as required. <br /> <br />B. Non-Appropriated Funds For Recreation Services <br /> <br />1. With prior approval ofthe Director of Parks and Recreation, solicitations, <br />sales, benefits, donation, or gifts, may be received during County- <br />sponsored programs. <br /> <br />2. Funds collected in any manner during a County-Sponsored program shall <br />be handled in accordance with established county and department policies <br />and procedures. <br /> <br />VIII. REFUND rOLICY <br /> <br />A. All requests for refunds must be made in writing to the Director of Parks <br />and, Recreation. <br /> <br />B. Refunds <br /> <br />1. Program credit or refund will be offered in cases in which a class or <br />program is already filled or must be cancelled because of an <br />insufficient number of participants, or in cases in which changes in <br />class day, time, or site prevents an individual's participation. A <br />participate wishing to withdraw from a program will be offered a <br />program credit.
